Months bank for launch
Earned months don't count down during the beta. They bank, and start counting at launch. Earn up to twelve: a year of Pro, free.
The cap, plainly: twelve banked months lifetime. Your colleague's welcome month is outside the cap; you hitting yours is never their problem.

What does the beta cost?
Nothing. There is no checkout, no card on file, and no catch. The free tier is a complete product, and Pro is earned by referral rather than bought. The prices on this page are planned 1.0 pricing, shown so you know where this is going.
What happens at 1.0?
Your banked months start counting, one per month, from launch day. When they run out, your page falls back to the complete free tier (still published, still synced, nothing deleted), and your Pro settings are remembered if you upgrade again. We don't promise a launch date; your earned months start at launch, whenever that is.
What are banked months?
Every referral earns you a month of Pro. During the beta those months don't count down; Pro is simply on while you hold any. At launch they start counting, one per month. You can bank up to twelve: a year of Pro, free.
Can I use my own domain?
At 1.0. A custom domain will be a one-off $12, on any plan including Free. It never expires and isn't affected if Pro lapses. Point a CNAME at Offprint and we handle the certificate. During the beta, domains are off.
Do I need to retype my CV?
No, that's the point. Offprint renders your ORCID record directly. If something is missing from your page, add it at orcid.org and the sync brings it in.
Can I edit what shows on my page?
Yes. You can show or hide sections on any plan, and override your name, title and bio for the page. Pro adds reordering, hiding individual items and links, custom links, and custom text blocks. Facts themselves stay in ORCID's hands; every override is marked and reversible.
How fresh is the sync?
Every page syncs from ORCID fortnightly. Pro adds on-demand sync: pull your record in whenever you like, up to five times a week. Your page shows when it last synced, so readers always know it's current.
Is Offprint affiliated with ORCID?
No. ORCID is a registered trademark of ORCID, Inc., and this site is not affiliated with or endorsed by ORCID. We build on the ORCID public API, with your permission, granted at sign-in.
